Things are changing very rapidly now. As you know we are all experiencing unprecedented and unsettling times.
As a Community Building our foremost priority is to look after and offer a safe environment for the local community and surrounding residents to gather. As such we believe that we must place the welfare of the community and those looking after the Hall and its activities at the top of our priorities. Guidance from the government strongly advises that we all follow a regime of social distancing and do not put the most vulnerable and key workers at risk.
We ask those of you who have not done so already to either cancel or postpone all current bookings by emailing email@example.com.
Many of our hirers have decided to cancel forward bookings until further notice. We have records of your regular bookings and will contact you when the government advises it is safe for social activities to resume. You will not be charged for any current bookings which you have decided to cancel (provided you tell us in advance).
Occasional Hirers and Prepaid Events
We will contact each of you individually. Some of you have already cancelled or postponed your events. We are taking provisional re-bookings (and new bookings) and you can carry forward your deposits. If you want to cancel altogether we will refund your deposit in full. Please let our Treasurer know your bank details.
We recognise that you may have incurred other costs in planning and advertising your event. We are sorry we cannot help you with those costs – your Hiring Agreement explains this in more detail.
We are of course very sorry that we will not see the social gatherings that are so important to us all but we are sure you understand that we are acting with only the best interests of everyone in Brushford and its surrounding villages in mind.
